Toy Safety and Quality

At MGA Zapf Creation, safety and quality come first. Every product is designed to give children and families confidence from the very first playtime.

Thoroughly Tested for Safe Play

From the earliest prototype through to final production, every product undergoes extensive quality and safety testing. This includes both internal assessments and independent inspections carried out by recognised testing organisations.

All MGA Zapf Creation products comply with the European Toy Safety Standard EN 71, the EU Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC and all other applicable legal requirements.

Quality Checks at Every Stage

The materials used in our products are regularly tested for their mechanical and physical properties to help ensure consistent quality and safety.

Testing is carried out both in our own laboratories and by independent testing bodies, including Intertek, SGS and TÜV Süd / LGA.

Our quality control processes cover every stage of production, including:

  • Raw material inspections
  • Material storage and handling
  • Production monitoring
  • Finished product checks
  • Packaging inspections
  • Transport and shipping controls

This ongoing monitoring helps ensure that our products consistently meet our high quality standards.

Responsible Manufacturing

We are committed to responsible manufacturing practices and carefully select the suppliers we work with.

All production partners are required to meet strict standards relating to working conditions, social responsibility and environmental protection. To support these commitments, MGA Zapf Creation works exclusively with manufacturers certified by the ICTI (International Council of Toy Industries), helping to ensure fair and safe working environments throughout the supply chain.

Trusted by Families

For more than 90 years, MGA Zapf Creation has been creating dolls and play experiences for children around the world. Quality, safety and responsible production remain at the heart of everything we do.
